WGAZ 2012 Scholarship Application Information

This year, WGAZ will be offering scholarships to the performers of our activity who pursue academic excellence. All groups who participate in the 2012 WGAZ Championships are invited to submit applicants from their unit who are high school seniors or enrolled in college. The WGAZ Scholarship Committee will review applications for these scholarships and select students who stand out in qualities of academic, artistic, and personal achievements.

Applications for the 2012 WGAZ Scholarships must be submitted by mail to:

Application Process
Complete Application (Essay portion to be emailed to [email protected] as an attachment file) 
Submit Copy of Transcripts
Submit Two Letters of Recommendation
*Please remember if you are emailing information to Alice Hays-Hinshaw to provide applicant’s name in the subject area of the email.

Guidelines
The recipient must be in his/her senior year of high school or already attending college.
Multiple scholarship applications will be accepted per unit.
Applicants must be an active performing member of a unit that will attend the 2012 WGAZ Championships
All applications must be typed
The scholarship will be granted for one year only, but recipients may re-apply the next year if he/she remains active with a unit and meets all the other requirements.
Scholarship(s) granted will be paid by check written to his/her school.
The award will be presented at WGAZ Championships to the respective recipient(s).
Selections will be made by the WGAZ Scholarship Committee, whose decision will be final.
